#237 - Harvest

As I sat looking out at a beautiful autumn day, I asked my husband what the prompt this week should be and he said, "harvest."  A perfectly seasonal prompt, (at least for those of us in the Northern hemisphere) this week please tell us what you think of: harvest.

I wanted to do something nice and seasonal; it didn't quite come out that way.

I didn't really plan on doing something depressing, but oh well! Haha, that's how it turned out! One of my favorite mini's so far!

I didn't think I'd enjoy this one... instead, I sit here feeling a million tons lighter for the effort. This pulled something out of me that wouldn't have surfaced otherwise...

Thank you!!

Jae Rose, I tried to comment on your blog:
I was the "other girl" in school, in my childhood, always escaping to a dream land. This affected me in a personal way, and it's nice to hear that, even if this is a fictional person, someone else understands!

Very, very nice. Thanks!

Mine went in a different direction then the normal meaning of "harvest" due to our missions emphasis at church this weekend. Not sure how many of you it will resonate with, but it is a great burden on my heart right now, this other kind of harvest.

I grew up on a farm, so, i guess harvest time is when I start kind of going into nesting mode before winter.

I hope you all don't mind, but I included a poem for this prompt, here within a story that I have been working on prior to this.

Hope you enjoy my tale and my poem.

Thanks for offering these prompts. :) Glad I came across your site and hope to be inspired to write more as I haven't put anything on the blog for over a year...
