#129 - Invitation

Like Laini last week, I had to really check to see if we had done this one before. It's getting harder and harder to remember all of the prompts, but I think that that is a very good thing! 129 and still going! So this week the prompt is: Invitation. Have a great weekend!

What do you do with an invitation to fly free when you’re not sure what to do with it?

Fun Fact: The friends featured in this post is where the Penelope comes from in my username. They find it impossible to call a person by their given name. Its a long story but I'm Penelope.

This is my first post for Sunday Scribblings, which I hope is to become a weekly fixture in my blogging life!

Not feeling particularly invitational after a very very rough week, this was a bit of a challenge.

If you'd like to see my submission, traipse on over to http://www.strangeaffinity.com . I love comments. A lot.

I was stuck trying to write a poem on invitations to weddings, birthdays and such.. I didn't like the feeling of being stuck so I wrote a different kind of invitation. ^_^

This was a hard one. How do you make spaces between your lines?
When I post my line spaces are gone.

Invitation! How did Laini know that I wanted to invite everyone to my celebration. I have started a 2nd blog for the left side of my brain. Come on by and check it out.

Thank you Laini and Megg for supporting the blogging world.

Had to switch it up a bit - for subject-verb agreement. I used INVITE.

NEXT YEAR MAY BE HERE, on NICKERS AND INK

Thanks for the fun prompt! This one was extra-special for me because it's the first time I've been able to write fiction since Hurricane Ike. It feels good to get my brain back on a fiction track after a week of my real life mirroring too closely some of the scenarios in my post-apocalyptic spec fiction.

Been a while since I participated, but I now have something! I took a whack at Allen Ginsberg's American Sentences form.

Perfect timing for me on this one!

Everyone's invited to go "Beyond the Realm of Normal" at SciFiTimes TV -- where you can see me in my first on-camera role as "Commander Mal." An interview with me in my civvies (and as the Deviations series author) will air on October 8. The Internet-TV show debuts on September 24. Details at
